So I may be late to the party on these…

Is it just me, or can’t you simply give your kid an actual APPLE?

I happened across a site today where a dad was giving these bags of apples all kinds of props. Personally, I think the “preservatives” and “packaging” that an actual apple comes in are less scary and less wasteful than this. Call me Scrooge, but I don’t really want my fruit sliced and put in a bag when I can eat it the way God made it.

  1. I totally agree with you. How hard is it to wedge an apple? Plus, if you want to save it in a plastic bag, all you have to do is douse the slices in some lemon juice. It’s just not worth the extra expense, I think!

  2. I totally agree!! What’s so hard about slicing up an apple. And then the lemon juice! I mean, simple and easy folks. Are we really that alienated from the kitchen?

  3. I couldn’t agree more. I am from Minnesota and what ever happened to farm fresh milk, vegetables grown in your own back yard, fresh fruit and all the good stuff. I think people have become lazy and the companies feed off of that. More money in their pockets.
